Hi friends! If you're looking for any walks or daytime adventures for your dog
or any training or pet sitting, please let me know.
Let's face it, your pup would rather be playing and having fun outdoors than sitting around the house all day. Well, I can make that happen!
Well, I must say, those rainy days sure did make things a bit more difficult than usual. Certainly a lot more messy. But I'll tell you what, I was having a great time and the dogs were too! Here are some recent photos. None in the rain however. I hope your days are adventurous!
My goodness! While I am stoked with my new career and while I am so happy to be working outdoors instead of a small, dark, recording studio; I am ready for the summer to be over and the heat to go away. I'm pretty sure the dogs feel the same way.
However, no matter the conditions, I am like a mailman. No extreme weather conditions are going to get in my way! They will make things difficult, but I welcome the challenge.
So, here are a few pix of the goings-on over the last couple of months...

"Can we go back in the house yet? It's hot out here!"
There can be a lot to take in when you're walking through the hood
I didn't realize it has been so long since my last blog. Life can be crazy at times I guess and the days get away. Well, it's been a fun, stressful, busy couple of weeks to say the least. It was capped off with a little adventure to Huntington Dog Beach this past weekend. We whad a blast! You should consider letting me bring your dog to the beach the next time we go. If your dogs not a water lover, no problem. We'll go do a nice hike in the local mountains if that's more what you dog enjoys.

Saying hi to everyone. K-9 and human alike.
That's about as far as he got.

Sometimes a dog walk can become so much more than just a dog walk. While walking Toby this afternoon, we saw a dog running down the street with a man not to far behind. When the man said the dog was not his, Toby and I went to work. When I called the dog he stopped. The man giving chase, Francisco, Toby and I met up a few yards away from the dog and we stopped and huddled. Sure enough, after a few seconds, the dog came over to us and we were able to put a leash on him.
Good news is; while I took Toby back to his house, Francisco was able to track down "Simon's" owner.
This has been one busy week! Highlighted by this beautiful little girl. Her name is Kabuki. She is approximately 2 and a half to 3 years old. She's spayed and has all of her shots. She's really sweet and friendly but also pretty shy around people. She gets along great with other dogs and cats. Kabuki is currently up for adoption. I'll be taking her to the vet next Friday to have one of her teeth extracted. She'll stay with us Thursday night so if you'd like to meet her, give me a call.
Please come and join St. Martin's Animal Foundation at Veggie Grill (8000 Sunset... Bl. W. Hollywood) from noon until 5pm, this Sunday, 6/3/12. There will be live entertainment including The Vegan Vixens as well as a couple of guest speakers. But best of all, when you order one of the incredible meals from Veggie Grill and you mention The Vegan Vixens, Veggie Grill will donate a portion of each meal to St. Martin's. How cool is that?
I hope to see you Sunday!
This is Grandpa. Grandpa is a sweet dog, maybe 14 to 15 years old. Though he is completely blind and deaf, he has a huge appetite and he loves to go on (short) walks. He's sweet and gentle and he will be able to live out his days here with us. His time looked like it was up. Now, I think he'll be around for a while. Which is just fine by us!
Thanks to St. Martin's Animal Foundation, I had the pleasure to drive to San Bernardino to pick up these 2 rescued puppies before they were euthanized. Thelma and Louise. I brought them to the vets office in Culver City where they were checked out.
We will have them featured on Fox 11 News/Good Day L.A. on Thursday, June 24 at 8:45am.
It's been a busy week here at DMDW. We helped film and present a video about animal rights as an outreach program to 4th and 5th graders in Lake View Terrace. The video and the presentation, which featured the St. Martin's Animal Foundation Green Team, went over really well with the children. We've been asked to return in June to give another presentation! Can't wait.
Enjoy your weekend. And remember, your dog would rather be outside having fun than sitting around the house all day. I can make that happen!
